The team at southwest are wonderful! After attending 4 weeks of puppy courses my is puppy well behaved and our bond has never been stronger! Puppyhood can be an overwhelming time and the team at Southwest Dog Training really helped shape and navigate the quirks that came with my hyperactive Australian shepherd! They always offer additional advice and tips outside of the course content when needed so you never have to worry. You can tell that they genuinely care about your pup and overall experience! I will definitely be back for teen courses in the near future 🙂

Came here for a puppy class, when we started my poodle puppy was just 11 weeks! Needless to say - the change in her behavior, week after week after practicing with them in class and by doing our weekly homework were so great to see! Frequently Asked Questions

How long are the Puppy Classes?

All classes will be 1 hour long! You will also receive homework to complete between every class so you can stay on top of your training.

How do I know which puppy class to sign my dog up for?

Refer to the age recommendations on this page. I will also reach out to you and ask any necessary questions to help determine which class is right for you once you fill out the sign-up form

Do you do Socialization in your Classes?

Yes, socialization is one of the most important things we need to teach young dogs. We will let the dogs play, but we will also work on encouraging the dogs to co-exist while keeping a calm state of mind.

When are the group Classes?

Group classes will either take place on weeknights or on the weekend!

 

Can I bring My Family or Friends?

Yes, we invite anyone into your dog’s life and who will be help raising your dog to come watch or even take part in some of the drills!
We kindly ask that other people who join respect the space allocated for them and to not go outside of that area.
