Since Covid-19 began, the amount of dog returns have doubled, and adoption agencies are having a hard time dealing with it. As a volunteer trainer at one of these agencies, and a dog owner myself, it came to my attention that the return of most of these “covid puppies” were for reasons that are completely avoidable with a little bit of training…

…and so, Southwest Dog Training was born in the summer of 2021! We decided to focus on training through a positive approach while empowering new owners who are understandably overwhelmed. With so many new dog owners out there, we provide services that will guide you through every step of your dog’s life . Whether you need obedience and socialization for your new puppy, or help with an older dog, we are here for you.
